Recruiting now open for Fall 2025 - Spring 2026
Scouting America has a number of resources to help cub scout leaders and parents enjoy successful events. If you have been tasked with leading an event, here are some checklists and guides to help you plan.
If you are leading/planning a pack campout or Webelos den overnighter, consider reviewing the my.scouting.org training for Basic Adult Leader Outdoor Orientation (BALOO). You can access it by searching for BALOO in the course catalog. Every cub scout campout or Webelos den overnighter must have one BALOO trained adult, but any parent/volunteer can study the materials in addition.
See Scouting America's Guide to Safe Scouting for more resources on planning events and keeping our kids safe while having a great time.

Choose "Make a copy" to finalize the copy.
Edit the event information and header color(s) to make it clear that it's a new/different event.
Click "Share" in the upper right to make sure you have selected "General Access" - "Anyone with the link" can be an "Editor."
Share the URL with your group.
"Generic Camping Event Head Count" - A per-family sign up sheet, for camping or other large events that want an easy total headcount.
"Generic Potluck - Signup" - A per-family sign up sheet with food types/groups. No personal information (phone number) is there, so this type of URL can be shared online if non-pack members are invited (new member meetings, etc).
"Generic 1 Adult + 1 Scout Sign up" - For tours and other pack-wide gatherings with limited space.
"Generic Den Manager" - For den leaders. Ask in leader chat if you want a tour. It is rank, adventure, and date aware. In other words, it will tell you the name of your adventure of the month, given the theme of the pack meeting. It also includes non-required adventures.
